.....at a young age she suffered from the mental, physical and emotional abuse of her father
...she draws strength from her supportive mom who took care of her after her parent's separated
...joining local singing competitions is her way of helping her mom cope with their financial strains
...at times she's criticized by people who think she's not pretty and not good enough
....but her zest to follow her dream has pushed her to continue on
.....now, she is 15 years old and she is living her dream!

Recently, Charice was featured on The Ellen Degeneres Show, twice on Oprah Winfrey, and David Foster's tribute concert where she performed songs alongside with Josh Groban, Katharine Mcphee, Andrea Bocelli and Michael Buble. Andrea Bocelli also personally invited her to perform songs and a duet with him at his birthday concert. During Charice's second guesting on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Celine Dion appeared via video conference from Washington, D.C. The legendary Celine Dion gave her sweet words of advice and encouragement... and she invited Charice to sing a duet with her at the Madison Square Garden on Sept. 15! What a great achievement! Mabuhay ka Charice!
